Joel Ellis was born in Sacramento California in 1968 and moved to Pasadena at age 3 where he grew up near the Los Angeles Hard Rock Scene of the 70’s and 80’s. This musical influence became Joel’s lifeblood as he honed his playing and performance skills during the 80’s on the “Hollywood Circuit” at Gazzari’s and The Whiskey a Go Go among other famous Venues. In 1990 Joel formed the band “Inside Out” where he would find live success developing a significant fan base over the next ten years. During this period, Joel took the opportunity to write and record with producers Jim Champagne (Bon Jovi, David Lee Roth) and Stephan Williams (Great White), experiencing world class studios, The Record Plant, Ocean Way and Echo Sound among others.

Joel joined successful original band “The Cauze” in 2005 where he furthered his professional live experience at larger venues opening for well-known acts, Warrant, Winger, Y&T, George Lynch, and more while recording the 2006 debut album of “The Cauze”, “Iron Horses” resulting in supporting appearances at the Rocklahoma Festival in 2007 and 2008, preceding the band’s demise in 2009.

Joel was recruited by Lead Vocalist Greg Edelman (who also spent some time with “The Cauze”) in 2014, adding his Hard Rock Style and dimension to the POWER Guitar sound. Joel is featured on recent release “Restored” (2016) and debut video “America” and continues to record and perform with the band today.
